Blackie_Chans solution works, but it dissables HAL which is used for auto mouse and keyboard config since 8.10.
The more elegant solution is leaving AutoAddDevices enabled and configuring lirc mouse...

a few days ago i noticed, that vlc gui on my ubuntu 9.04 has problems with rendering fonts. I can't seem to figure out what is the problem. Maybe someone can suggest the solution?

Samo problem with freezing and lights flashing on Sony Vaio. Might be connected to weak wireless signal.
