if you mean ubuntu, kubuntu, xubunutu and so on i wouldn't worry since all applications work on all variants it may just install extra dependencies

When i open rhythmbox it also opens a terminal window, when i close this rhythmbox closes aswell.
Is there anyway it stops opening the terminal?
