I've now installed Ubuntu 10.10 32 bit, as I had problems with playback on the 64 bit version with Iplayer (even with the latest 64 bit flash plugin installed). 32 bit works better....

I experienced slow web browsing on my laptop, using both wired and wireless connections. I'm using 64 bit Ubuntu 10.10. After following this tip, web browsing is back to normal again.

I've not noticed any missing icons on my cleanly installed machine. Just on the upgraded (from 7.10) machine.
Are there .png icons for Unison and Firefox in your /usr/share/pixmaps directory?
