    Oye solo por si te puede ayudar por que no pruebas gadmin-samba 0.2.8,es una interfaz gráfica muy completa.suerte.está en synaptic.

    first of all en terminal type: man file
    then type: file /media/floppy
    file /media/floppy0 or
    file /media/*
