Anyone know what this process is?
"exe".. I've seen it stuck at 100% cpu usage at times in the past.
I killed it and it came back a few hours later w/ high cpu usage again as you can see in the screen shot.
What is this?

Are you running or installing anything that uses WINE?
Kill it and see what happens..
FIC K8-800T AMD64 3200+ 2GB PC3200 GeForce 6800GT Mandriva 2010 KDE+Compiz+Emerald
MSI K9N2GM AMD 9950BE 4GB DDR2-800 GeForce 8200 10.10 WUSB600N
Acer 6920 Core 2 Duo 4GB GeForce 9500GS 10.04 Ubuntu User #17586
Also, if you enterfrom the terminal and the process dies, you will know for sure that it's spawned by WINE. If it keeps going, then it was started by something other than WINE.Code:wineserver -k
Okay, I figured it out. Thanks for the help guys.
It's the Adobe Flash plugin.
I'm using beta version 10.1 - maybe that's why it's stuck in memory from time to time.
I tested this by playing a youtube video then killing the exe process. The video changes to an error message.
Funny thing, though, I've NEVER seen the exe process until yesterday. And I haven't updated my flash player in several months.
Usually, when I have high CPU usage and a high memory usage, it's a "chrome" process that it the culprit (I'm using Chrome 4.0.249.21). I kill it and my flash dies, so I'm guessing that that's the flash player. "Exe" never came up before yesterday. It almost seems as if it took over memory leak duties from the previous chrome (flash player) plugin.
Strange, no? Anyone have an answer for this?
Linux. Think Different-er.
I've also just now got that "exe" process taking up all the resources. Weird.. perhaps a recent update?
Started experiencing the same thing a couple of days ago.
Is there a bug report about this?
I've got the exact same problem here. youtube and such is working okay, but flash games are impossible. "exe"process goes up to ~80%
