Question Transmission - how to change download location to different drive ?

    Hi all

I'm trying out the Transmission bittorrent software and am a little stumped. I've just physically transferred a secondary hard drive from another PC that's got loads of torrent files on it and I want to point to all the files/directories on it one by one and get them all seeding but I just can't find a way to do it. When I open the .torrent file, the list of options in "Destination Folder" is only things like Desktop, File System, Floppy Drive, Current Torrents, etc. There seems to be no way whatsoever to *point* to anything located on a different drive.

I'm very new to LInux so may be missing something really obvious. Can anyone help me at all?

    Cheers

At the end of the list there's an entry called 'other'. If you select it, it'll open new window that will let select any locations available on your computer.

    Hope it helps,
    Regards.

Hi, I've tried the "Other" option but all it does is give the same list of locations that are located on the main hard drive. There's nothing (that I can see) that's letting me go outside of it.

    +1
So does mine. I can choose any folder on the machine, or network even, as far as I can see.

Look in Filesystem/media/mountpoint for other drive
